Playdates = Fun Days

One of our Life Group couples is moving across town, so to help them out today while they are packing and moving, their Little Ones came over. Noah and Ellie loved playing with Harrison.

And me? I loved snuggling a sleeping baby Nixon.

After attempting to take a nap {and laughing at the boys fake snoring over the monitor}, we all enjoyed some popcorn and Thomas.

And once Ben got home, Harrison and Noah went with him on a run around the neighborhood. Ben said their conversations about birthday parties, planes, and stopping at stop signs {and Harrison trying to hold Noah's unwilling hand} was hysterical.

And, after baths and putting Ellie down for the night, the medium sized boys played a couple rounds of Hungry Hungry Hippos...

... while the biggest and littlest boys had a tickle and giggle session.

Makes me just about ready for round number 3.

My Manly Man and a Birthday Party

I love it when Ben invites me to take a photo.

After having used the chainsaw to break up some firewood, he came in saying that I had missed a manly photo opportunity.

I, most certainly, did not miss the next one.

Dearest One, I love you.

This afternoon was Harrison's birthday party. He turned three earlier this month.

Noah had a blast... because Harrison, like Noah, loves Thomas. And he has a train table. Noah spent the majority of time playing there and couldn't even be tempted away from it with cake and cookies.

The party was smack dab in the middle of naptime. So Ellie spent the majority of the time snuggling with Ben, Josh, Erin, and myself.

She eventually decided that she wanted to play too.

Happy Birthday Harrison!

A Playdate with Friends

This morning, we had a playdate/lunch-date with some of our friends from Life Group. Cindy and Burgandi came over with their little ones and the kids were more than excited to get to play with one another. I had told Noah last night that they would be coming over today and I will not make that mistake again. For the rest of the evening he asked, "Mommy, Becca come play Noah's house?" and "Peer-son {Harrison!} come play Noah's cars, Mommy?" And, of course, the first thing out of his mouth this morning was not his usual, "Good morning, Mommy!", but questions asking if Becca and Harrison were here yet.

While the pizzas were finishing up baking, the kiddos {minus Ellie and Natalie} made their desserts:

Sugar Plum Treats: jumbo marshmallows dipped in chocolate with sprinkles... they were a big hit!

Playdate

This morning, we had a playdate with Burgandi, Law and the kids. Harrison, Noah and Ellie had a blast playing in the boy's room and, of course, with the train table. Ellie's favorite thing, by far, was the Rodi.

Next to the train table, Noah enjoyed playing with the kitchen.

And me?

I loved loving on this little guy.

Highlight of my day?
{Besides Glee?}

Congrats Burgandi and Law! I love him already!
