Give and Get Joy | Shutterfly House Party

I've had the privilege of hosting a couple of House Parties, so when I applied to be a host for the Shutterfly Give and Get Joy House Party again this year, I wasn't really expecting to be chosen. Granted, I love Shutterfly and even recently participated in a research study about their latest line of custom path photobooks. Lucky for me and lucky for my family and friends, I was chosen to host again this year!

We had a good time setting up accounts, checking out options, and perusing through Shutterfly books that Mom already had.

Not to mention, some quality time with the women of the family!

Thank you Shutterfly and House Party - we loved our goodies and can't wait to make our new books! ♥

Winner and Playtime

Congrats Tracie! You won the codes for the Shutterfly goodies! Enjoy!

Jadyn came over this afternoon to play with Noah. After having a rest time {getting to watch a movie}, I sent the two of them outside to enjoy the unusually warm weather and sidewalk chalks.

I'm pretty certain they both enjoyed themselves... and that Noah simply can't wait until Spring already.

Shutterfly's Holiday Cards {and a Giveaway}

Ben and I, pre-Ellie, use to make all our Christmas cards. While it was pretty time consuming, it was a lot of fun to turn on some Christmas music or a Christmas movie and work together on them. Times have changed a little - time and energy are precious commodities around here now-a-days.

So last year, we used Shutterfly for our family Christmas Cards.

I loved them. And wondered why I hadn't been doing these all along.

They were so easy to make, looked great {the colors perfectly matched my monitor}, and arrived ever-so-quickly after I ordered them.

This year, we're planning to order from them again. And there are so many wonderful options to choose from:

{This one is probably my favorite - can't you just imagine Noah and Ellie kissing on the front of this card?}

Even if you don't celebrate Christmas. {Though, I didn't see any for Kwanzaa, Jessie!}

And I love how you can even have photos placed inside the card {example from one of the sample cards from the Shutterfly House Party}

And aren't these holiday invitations darling? It makes me want to have a Cookie Exchange party with the girls again this year. Or send out the cocktail ones for a little party too.

I think it's important to mention that Shutterfly doesn't just offer holiday cards and prints. They offer other photo gifts, like this Christmas ornament {using your photos, of course!}:

They also offer calendars as well. We made wall calendars for the grandparents last year and plan to do the same again this year. They even have some great new designs, including this fun desk calendar. If I thought our grandparents would like it better, I would probably get these instead this year!

Probably my favorite thing from Shutterfly, next to the photo prints themselves, is their photobooks.

Here's a glimpse into that photobook, for those of you who haven't seen it:

And one of the versions of A Week in the Life albums:

We started the tradition of giving away photobooks to our parents for Christmas last year. We include photos from the past year and I'm pretty sure it's been a big hit. This year's albums are nearly finished... just waiting on the rest of November's photos!

All in all, you know I'm a big fan of Shutterfly. Don't use it? You ought to! Free membership, unlimited storage, and 50 free prints just for signing up.

Need more of an incentive? I have one extra code set for a free 8x8 album and 10 free holiday cards left over from the Shutterfly House Party. If you'd like the chance to win it, simply leave a comment telling me your favorite thing from Shutterfly. Don't want the chance or need it? Please still go check out Shutterfly and all they have to offer... and you can still leave a comment ... and be watching for one of our Christmas cards to show up in your mailbox soon!

Giveaway closes at midnight on Monday, November 22, 2010.

Shutterfly Update

I'm eventually planning to remove the Shutterfly Share Site link from the side of my blog. I know that many of the readers have the password, however, if you would like to become a member of the site {in order to receive an update via email when the previous months photos are posted}, please either leave me a comment or shoot me an email. And please, check your email first before you comment or send me an email. I've already sent out member notifications to about 50 people.
Enjoy! ♥
