Gamers.

Noah has been obsessed with the Wii for the last few weeks. It all started when, while I was unpacking and setting the system up, he found the "Lego Batman" game that Ben had purchased on clearance a while back for the two of them to play, some time in the future.

Clearly the future was right. that. very. moment.

He's actually fairly good at making Batman and Robin move around, can throw a punch every-so-often, and can get Daddy-Ben killed with amazing speed. Since then, the two of them have added MarioKart, Marvel Ultimate Alliance {Noah is ALWAYS Captain America} and SuperMario Brothers Wii to their list of games.

Tonight, Ellie and I got roped into playing SuperMario Brothers. She died more times than I can count, screamed every time I tried to help her, and spent most of the {little} time that she and I played in a bubble.

But these two? Gamers, I tell ya.

New Things for Noah {and for Mommy and Daddy}

While we were in Oklahoma, Noah's Aunt KK gave him a Baby Einstein DVD {Baby Noah} and he loves it! We watched it together today and he simply loved the animals and songs! Thank you KK! And, Grandma Lucy sent him a fun little CD with songs that have his name in them... every time it said his name, he looked around for the person who said it! Thank you Grandma Lucy!

I also got something in the mail today:

My new Dave Ramsey wallet and coupon organizer - it brings together two of my favorite things: Financial Peace and the Grocery Game! For those of you who haven't ever attended this life changing program, we HIGHLY recommend it. We took the course before we got married. It completely changed mine and Ben's life and we believe that it has forever changed our family tree {even my parents and sisters have taken the course now}! We no longer carry debt {except for our home} and will be teaching our children to do the same thing. We live in financial freedom as a result!

And, one other new thing, this one is for both Ben and I.... the Wii is now hooked up to the Internet! If you have a Wii, email me and I'll send you our console number so that we can play games together online!

This is the Best Game Ever!

While we did quite a few things today, the only picture that I took was while we were at the Cheesecake Factory with Matt and Kristin....

but doesn't Noah look happy sitting with Kristin? :)

This afternoon Noah and I spent some time with Kim and Mia. Kim was in our first small group that we joined when we moved here to California and she now has a six week old little girl, Mia. Somehow (I've NO idea how!) I managed to let them get away without a picture of her and her sweet little baby.... next time Kim! Beware! I will be the paparazzi!

We also met up with Matt and Kristin for dinner and then we played a few games with them at our house on the Wii. I also can't believe that I didn't get a video of us playing "the best game ever"! We were all in hysterics while we were playing a game on Sonic and the Golden Rings... good thing Noah was asleep in his crib or we would have woken him up!

An Afternoon with My Grandparents

Noah and I spent some quality time with our Grandparents today! Mom, Daddy-Man, Noah, and I ate lunch out together and then during our errands, stopped by to see Grami and Papa Snow for a few minutes. They were so excited to see him and love on him for a little while (and I was excited to see them and love on them too!). Later on in the day, they came over to Mom and Daddy-Man's house so we could have dinner together and play some Wii. And WOW! Grami and Papa both scored strikes in bowling! We were all so proud!

I lost count of how many strikes Grami made after four!

To cap off the day, Mom and Daddy-Man both rocked their "grandbabies": Mom rocked Noah and Daddy-Man rocked Pinny. (My sisters and I thought this was pretty funny!)

Perfect.

Tonight was perfect.

Ben and I went on our Anniversary Date to Boulevard Steakhouse. Oh my goodness. The steaks were delicious, the martinis were slammin' (I recommend the Extreme Housewife!), and the Grand Marnier Souffle was perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone as a special treat... and we're hoping to go back to the martini lounge portion of it again!

To top the evening off, once we returned to my parent's house, we finished watching Surf's Up with my Daddy-Man and while I was surfing the internet, Ben played Wii Bowling... and look:

Forget a Perfect 10, tonight was a Perfect 300.

Boy's Day

Michael and Andy came over today for Boy's Day and look at what all we accomplished! Michael made a sock monkey (named Bonkers) and Andy made a sock kitty (named Marcus). They did such a great job! And, it gave me hope knowing that even if we end up having all boys, at least they'll be willing to do some crafts with Mommy!

We also played some Wii and it was so funny to watch Andy play - when he'd bowl he'd literally jump several feet off the ground!

The Boys (and the Girls)!

And this is what Noah did the whole time... so much for Boy's Day for him.

Another Craft Day

Angie and Greg came over today for another craft day. Ben and Greg were going to go play a round of golf, but since Greg's shoulder was still a little sore from skiing a Black Diamond slope and Ben was starting to feel sick, the boys just hung out at our house, playing Wii and taking care of Noah. Ben even attempted to teach Noah how to play! :)

(That's a Wii remote in the front pocket of the Snugli and Noah is trying to chew on it...)

Meanwhile, Angie and I worked on yet another sewing project! She worked on a car seat cover, while I worked on a highchair cover (for dining out). Basically, they are the same thing, mine is just a little smaller to fit the high-chairs at restaurants. We didn't quite get to finish them while they were over (they take a good while to cut out and put together!). I ended up going ahead and finishing mine after Ben and I ate dinner... the sooner I finish that project, the sooner I can get started on the next one. (I'm forcing myself to finish each project completely before I start the next one, otherwise I'll never get anything completely done! I get so excited about each project that I want to start it immediately! Here's my finished high chair cover and it's travel bag is behind it. Noah was asleep or I would have put him in it! :)

Not a Boring Saturday

What is a weekend without a night with the Frey's? I'll tell you in one word - boring!

After an afternoon of running errands and getting the house prepared, a nice relaxing evening of Euchre and Wii (and lots of eating, including more snickerdoodles and fudge) was just what we needed.
Yes, the girls are hearts and yes, we lost the evening. :(
Ben thinks that Noah is on the boy's team.... but we all know that he loves Mommy best! ;)
Snuggling with Angie while the rest of us played Wii Bowling... Angie even let Greg stay longer since Noah was such a snuggle-bug!

Couch-potato Wii Baseball....

A Full Day

This picture is really from last night, but I couldn't resist adding it.... Ben scored his highest game ever (234) on Wii Bowling while carrying Noah around in his Snugli. I think that Ben thanks you even more for that Michelley!
Today was a pretty full day for us. We ate lunch at Whole Foods (don't worry, Noah stayed in his "bubble" (his carseat/stroller) the entire time) and then ran to Target to get a few more baby blankets and other necessities.
Afterwards we came back home....
Noah and Papa reading the newspaper before we left for lunch.
Noah getting some quality time with Aunt BB.

Daddy and his Mini-Me.

Noah's first bath at home!

Ben and Daddy-Man's first time ever playing Wii Boxing!

Life is good.

Cookie, Wii, The Office....

These are just a few of my favorite things! And of course, seeing my husband interact with children tops the list! Add it all together and it makes for a great evening.

Tonight, Ben and I watched Christian for a couple of hours. We played Wii bowling with him (he loved it and would call out how many pins everyone knocked down!), I made the rest of the cookies (I had saved some cookie dough so Ben would have nice, warm cookies... I know, I'm a GREAT wife!), and then we watched The Office ("Line."). Christian ended the show by getting all snuggled up with Ben, and once show was over, he was out! And it wasn't long before Ben was too. I wanted to take a picture of them, but I didn't want to wake either of them up! Needless to say, I can't wait until it is Noah all snuggled up in Ben's arms.

Good times with friends

Any time that we spend time with Greg and Angie we have a blast... and tonight was no different! After spending the morning and afternoon cleaning the house, we spent the rest of the day playing Wii, laughing, winning (and losing) at Euchre, and of course, eating and drinking! And Angie kicked some major butt at Wii Bowling - how many strikes did you get?!

Ben's special drink, garnished perfectly by "Bartender Greg".

We have a Wii!!

The day started out normal enough... Ben and I overslept a little and so instead of rushing around to get ready, we decided to just watch our church service online. It was actually kinda nice to just relax on the couch in my PJs, with a cup of coffee and sing along and listen to Rick preach. We've already determined that once Noah gets here, this will be how we will "go to church" for the first couple of weeks/month!
It wasn't until after we watched the service and ate lunch that the normal-ness of a Sunday was over -we went to Toys R' Us. Under "normal" circumstances, it probably wouldn't have been that big of a deal... I mean, we are having a child soon and I do have a ton of BRU and TRU coupons! But we went in Toys R' Us with the sole purpose of finding out if they still had a Wii in stock... and just our luck, they did! Most everyone knows that we've been saving up for this and, so that we could get it a little sooner, we decided to put some of our Christmas money that we were going to spend on each other towards it. We spent the rest of the afternoon getting it all set up and of course, playing! Ben kicked my butt at Bowling, but I won every game of Laser Hockey! We even created our own Mii - versions of us! "Wii" can't wait for everyone to come play with us!! :)

My "Mii"... and yes, Ben was really kicking my butt!
