Today while Ben and Noah were taking naps, Daddy-Man and I started working on our project. You see, I don't just get my craftiness from my Mom! I've had my eye on this bookshelf for while, but, like many "non-essentials", I just can't quite bear to pay as much as
OneStep Ahead was asking for.

And besides, when I have a very talented woodworking Daddy-Man to teach me {I by that I mean do most of woodworking parts of it!} why not at least try it?! So, here's the "before" picture of the wood:

And here's the "after-two-hours" picture:

Pretty good so far, if I do say so myself! And, I even used the table saw twice during that time! :) We've still got to get the dowel rods in place and then I'm going to sew up the sling portion and maybe the baskets {if the ones from Target are too big}. We're planning on painting it to match the boy's room and getting fun fabric to match!

I tried and tried to get Noah to open his mouth big enough while he was eating so that I could get a picture of his tooth, but all I ended up with were a few really cute {non-tooth-showing} pictures and a very messy baby:

Ben and I went on a date tonight {for like the first time since March!} and we went to the new Warren movie theatre to see The Mummy near my parent's house. The best part about the theatre is of course the balcony! You have to pay a little bit more for the seats, but you choose your seats when you buy your tickets, so there is no need to wait in line {which will be ESPECIALLY fabulous for when Harry Potter and the HPB comes out!} and they even serve, um, special drinks! ;) And, another feature that I am so excited about, though we didn't try out since we left Noah with Mom and Daddy-Man is the "Cry Room": a special place where you can take your small children if they are being fussy! {Sigh.} Finally, someone was smart enough to figure out what it would take to get more people into the movie theatres.
